British sports car maker, Caterham Cars, will attend the popular Auto Retro show in Barcelona on 4-8 December for the first time, exhibiting its newest model for Europe: the Seven 165.

The spectacular event opens its doors to motoring enthusiasts for the 31st time and is expected to attract huge crowds of automotive, aviation, motorbike and nautical fans during the five-day show.

As one of Spain’s most prestigious exhibitions for vintage and modern cars,Caterham’s Spanish distributor, Auto Storica, will be showcasing the 165 alongside several classic car manufacturers and enthusiast clubs.

With continual export sales growth and increasing demand for the iconic Seven overseas, the new EU6-approved 165 model is an exciting addition to the range across Europe.

The ultra-lightweight Seven 165 embodies the spirit of the early Caterham Sevens and its ‘back to basics’ charm has been met with acclaim since its launch in late 2013. Available from €19,995 (+local taxes), the entry level model is powered by an 80hp 3-cylinder Suzuki engine which offers a top speed of 161KPH and reaches 0-100km in 6.9 seconds.

Caterham Cars’ Chief Commercial Officer, David Ridley, said: “Spain is one of our growth export markets; there’s lots of enthusiasm for the legendary Seven and we’ve been able to bolster the model range with introduction of the fantastic new entry model 165.”
